Dr. William Black

William Black, DDS has been dedicated to providing exceptional oral and maxillofacial surgical care to patients throughout the Kanawha Valley for the past four years. He values building lasting relationships with his patients and is committed to ensuring every visit is as comfortable, compassionate, and positive as possible.

A Jackson County native, Dr. Black graduated from Sissonville High School before earning his undergraduate degree, dental degree, and completing his five-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at West Virginia University.

During his residency at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Dr. Black received comprehensive training in facial trauma, benign pathology, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, orthognathic surgery, and dentoalveolar surgery. His extensive education and surgical experience have prepared him to provide the highest standard of care across a wide range of oral and maxillofacial procedures.

Dr. Black is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and maintains active memberships and affiliations with professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the West Virginia Dental Association.

Dr. Black and his wife, Emily, live in the Charleston area with their three children, Beau, Vivi, and Tripp. Outside the office, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, hiking, and cheering on the Mountaineers as a West Virginia University football and basketball season ticket holder.
