Dr. Byron Black

Bryon Black, DDS completed his Dental Degree and Oral Surgery Residency at WVU School of Dentistry in 1974. Dr. Black has been treating patients in Charleston, WV and surrounding areas for 40 years and is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon.

Dr. Black maintains active affiliations with the American Dental Association, the WV Dental Association, the WV Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the Kanawha Valley Dental Association, and the Southeastern Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a Diplomate of the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at West Virginia University.

In the fall of 2014, Dr. Black was appointed to the WV Board of Dentistry and also serves on the WV Board of Dentistry Anesthesia Committee.

Dr. Black and his wife, Julia, have three adult children, Kristen, Will, and Byron Patrick. He is a resident of Jackson County and an avid WVU fan and supporter.
